 Alnwick Garden<\/strong><\/a>  is a short car journey away and Gold award winner of The North East tourist awards for best large visitor attraction , with close neighbour Alnwick Castle also picking up an award for 2018.<\/p>\n

A taste of Northumberland<\/h3>\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Within easy walking distance from the cottages is The Craster  Arms. This dog-friendly, family restaurant dates back to the 15th Century and the building itself incorporates a three storey stone Pele Tower. It’s located right in the centre of the Village and offers good food, a real fire in the winter months and a large beer garden for the kids to run around in.<\/p>\n

Almost next door to the Craster Arms is the Beadnell Towers Hotel. The food is cooked using the best of local ingredients wherever possible including fresh, locally caught fish, meats and vegetables. The Hotel also regularly hosts live music and various events throughout the year. The restaurant offers a slightly more ‘fine dining’ approach to it’s food than the Craster Arms.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Polaroid-3\"\n

Whether it be a hearty Northumbrian breakfast, an indulgent afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco, or a stylish and intimate bistro dining experience as the lights go down at night, The Saltwater Cafe in the heart of the village is the place to be.<\/p>\n

Just 3 miles away in Seahouses, you’ll also find a large selection of chip shops, indian restaurants, pubs and an Italian, or slightly further afield in Bamburgh, there are some very good restaurants, perfect for a romantic evening meal or large family gathering. Seahouses Golf club also serve excellent food including breakfasts and first class Sunday lunches at the Bistro.<\/p>\n

Just a few miles further north is Bamburgh, a beautiful coastal town in the heart of Northumberland, famous for its castle, coastlines, walking trails and eateries! 2018 Tourist award winners The Potted Lobster in Bamburgh, booking recommended and the Lindisfarne Inn in Beal.    <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Sport\"\n\t\t

Beadnell has its own Sailing Club that has been based near the harbour for over 40 years. The harbour itself provides an excellent spot to launch boats from and can get very busy in the summer months. The nearby Farne Islands are a popular destination to sail to from Beadnell.<\/p>\n

Surfing and Bodyboarding are extremely popular when there is a decent swell to ride, the bay can produce swells of up to 15ft in size! The middle and South of the bay are generally the best spots for surfing as the North end is more protected by the Harbour. The wide and long beach is also ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing either on the sea or sand. Also using the launching facilities in Beadnell are the many diving and snorkelling clubs in the area.<\/p>\n

With the close proximity of the Farne Islands, there are a large number of popular dive sites close by including the Somali, a ship that was bombed in 1941.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t
